New Panasonic Camera
« on: December 30, 2009, 09:09:57 AM »
Well I picked up a new camera yesterday. I have been looking into getting a decent one now for about a year, started saving for a nice DSLR and with the help of phool and pope I had a good idea of what I wanted to get.

For not having done much photography before though it seemed like a good chunk of change to throw down for a good camera and lens. I also recently had an opportunity to head to AK this coming year to do some hunting, so I decided to save the majority of my money for that.

Anyhow picked up the Panasonic DMC fz35 which is the newer version of the fz28 which was the predecessor to the fz18. Seem's like a decent little point and shoot with a large zoom. Kind of wish I would have stepped up to a DLSR but the panny is nice and compact and for the price seems like a good camera. Hopefully I can get to posting some pic's now.

Still kind of have buyers remorse, for $200 more could have gotten a canon DSLR entry level camera with two lenses. Hmmmmmmmm decisions decisions.

I almost bought that camera. I did a ton of research, as P&S's go it is arguably the top dog. I settled on the compact version. the 35 rocks if you have the space for it no doubt.

It is a little bigger then I would have liked but I really liked the features and it's not that heavy. I have an older canon point and shoot that is about the size of a wallet if I really feel like going light. But I think I can find room for the panny  :)

Congrats, now set that thing to RAW and get to snapping.
