Sad to say, that Encore ownership within Hunt-Wa is probably in the sub 5%.. (just a guess) I know two people that have Encore's. Five that have a TC of variation. I know a whole lot of other people that have guns. Try the same question on 'The Firing Line' or 'TheHighRoad.org'.
Most of the time I say 'new gun', but then again I don't have a TC. If I had one, I think I'd have a plethora of barrels for it.

I am fully sold on the Encore series. I think they are great guns even though they are single shot only. They just appeal to me for some reason and thats good enough. I will be hunting with mine next year for sure.
I would buy the 12 gauge Turkey barrel but I already own a Benelli M1 field for that purpose. To me the Encore is perfect for Turkey hunting though. That seems like a perfect match for a single shot. I say get it and let us know how you like it.
I have a 20 gauge vent rib on the way for grouse next year and I am stoked.

I will likely end up going the encore barrel route. i told myself i won't buy any new barrels for it so i will be watching for a used one to come up for sale.
Steve-you either love them or hate them. i am amazed at how well mine shoots with the 300 barrel. much better than any of the savage or browning a-bolt rifles i've had.

I've wanted a TC pistol for a long time. I started the boys out on cheaper single shot rifles. I actually like them. (I'd like them more if they were as accurate as a TC) Having a TC pistol, with both pistol and rifle barrels would be sweet.

my dad hunted with a t/c contender super 14(14" barrel) for deer back east. i wanna say he shot a 7mm TCU, a wildcat caliber that he loaded for it. shot it at 100 yard targets and carried it in a shoulder holster...a beast of a pistol. i got really happy a few months back when he told me he was gonna send me his pistols as hand me downs. unfortunately he sold the contender. i still am getting a couple cool pistols, but no contender.
