I carry for the purpose of protecting myself,my family or any other person from harm by some crazy freak. I have the means, the ability, and the attitude. I will slip in to darkness to protect the ones I love. Anyways I carry a springfield XD40 sub compact, love this little dude. The Blackhawk CQC with serpa lock is a great holster.

XD 40 in .40 S&W of course.  I don't carry it because I want to, I do it at certain times because I need to.  Sometimes clients get unruly, or their family, or their friends, or their fellow gang members, or their russian mafia friends...

I actually quit carrying Colt .380 a couple of years ago, because I was getting so pissed at these stupid drivers on I5 and 405 that I was afraid I might actually use it on one of them....I knew even pulling it out and waving at them would get me locked up, so I quit carrying it in my car back and forth to work....although lately with some of the stuff that has happened, I've been contemplating carrying it again...

Get some baroque period music and play while commuting it's soothing on the soul. I live other music but for I-5 and 405 this is the way to go. Just pop in the CD, lean back in the seat, drive and form a large comfort zone for yourself.
The attached web site will allow you to pick out a artist or two.

I carry because I can. My wife carries because she commutes for an hour and you never know what will happen. Two months ago some greaser car thieves pointed  a gun at her. I was hunting in Idaho at the time otherwise things might not have been as civil for them.

Currently it's just my Browning Hi-Power. Spotted it on the shelf, Two Tone, Belgian roll stamp. bought it.  I miss my SP101 .357 really nice for summer time carry.

FWIW I found G.A.S. on line in Vancouver Wa.  They had Browning factory made 17rd mags for 23$ (this was some years back)

Why? I got my CPL primarily because of run ins with feral-semi feral dogs while Hiking & Mt. Biking. Wanted to be all legal and careful. Yes you can transport Handguns unloaded in a case w/o a CPL yadda yadda...but I firmly believe if you have a handgun with you it needs to be in a holster attached to your body.

Unless I'm going out for a few beers I always carry.  Too many idiots, crazies.

Having the permit is a great piece of ID as the Law knows you have been checked out. It makes buying guns easier.
I carry 24/7: Kimber Procarry II, 45acp.
