This is interesting too, more than 1 in 3 said elk is best.

You forgot Oryx, I heard it is some of the best table fair.
When I saw this poll, I wondered if it would be on here and it is now. This is not even close for me.
When we hunted oryx in New Mexico I was asking some of the guys from there how it eats. The only quote they gave me was to ask, "How do you like elk meat?" I replied, "I love it".
"Well, if you get home and don't have room for the oryx, throw out the elk!"
I figured that was a pretty bold statement until I harvested my oryx and got to get it on the grill. It not only was the cleanest smeeling game I have harvested it tastes great. In way of additional support for its great tasste, I have served it to a fair amount of friends and to a person they all asked if I had any that I could share.
If you ever get the chance or have thought about trying for the New Mexico draw, make sure you go. It is a great hunt and great game meat.

I selected Elk, but it is because I haven't tried many on the list - moose, caribou, etc.
Bear is my other favorite, but it has been awhile since I have had any around.
