Kids First Duck
« on: January 04, 2010, 01:21:55 PM »
Hi All, Sorry I haven't posted a pic for a while, been up to my you know what in feathers :chuckle:  I thought I would post a pic of a customers kids first duck.  Both wings were shattered with primaries missing, a hard mouthed dog retrieved it and to top it off the neck was wrung.  I normally would not have attempted to mount it but the way the kid looked at me when I was explaining the damage about made my heart miss a few beats.  Kids first and all I couldn't resist the challenge.  Hope you enjoy the pic's.  Talk with you all soon.  John

John, you are a pro!!! Your work is top-notch, that is an awesome mount especially with all the missing feathers you mentioned. I'm always amazed by your work -wish I was over there on the dry side so I could check out your stuff in person.

Can't see the pictures here on my work computer.  I'll look when I get home.  You've got a soft spot for kids first ducks WC... :chuckle: :chuckle:

What is up with this?  All you mount is birds, right?  I know your up to your . . . .in feathers.  Yet all you do is throw us a bone about once ever 2 or 3 months.  I'm not commenting on any more of your work til you start posting more of it.  :chuckle:

Looks Absolutely Great as usual.  I think I would be disappointed if I heard you were not able to save a bird.

Is my duck done yet?

Great work WC!  Like Michelle said, you need to post more.

Thanks everyone for the great compliments.  I forgot to mention that the bird had 3 curls to boot.

Michelle, you crack me up.  What duck???? I think those pictures of your first duck were all staged :chuckle:

Matt no worries, family comes first.  Hope you had a good break.

Charlie thanks, by the way where is that refrigerator in your shop with the beer in it??  Pic's please :)

pathfinder, thanks for the kind words on that other post, and buckhole hold on to those feathers for a while until I recover from this one ;)
