saw this picture on the site. Holy Smokes! Where do you find a source of ducks like this? How can I get in on this action? I'm ready to sell my soul.

That weather in the background doesn't hurt either, some of my best days duck hunting have been in the snow.

Teal101: I'd gladly walk for miles if I though I was walking in the right direction. I may be old but I'm not afraid to walk if I thought there was a chance for success.

Looks like my tail gate from last year during the snow storm.  Had 15 days of limits like this with the group.  Best day was 9 guys, 45 minutes all mallards.
Cut em!

Hunted the entire month of Dec. on public spots.  Went to where the ducks were.

That's this thing about ducks, they everywhere and nowhere all at once.

One spot may be void of them one day and the next week chock full of them due to a weather change or pressure in another area.  Get out and just find spots with birds and mark em.  Try the spots out and figure out what works.  We've had spots go from producing limits to never producing again just due to seasonal changes and they still don't produce.

well, just speaking for myself, I won't touch my lips to a duck call.  I suck at it, and if I do I will scare away anything inbound.  I have had very good duck callers try to teach me how to do it, and I just can't.  I have had days like this with the TDF guys, but they did all the calling, and I just shut up and shot.

lol thats my picture :) that was a great day..we had a cold front coming in and knew everything was going to freeze but the rivers, so we put all our efforts in scouting the rivers...found a little tiny creek with about 500 mallards on it all public but no one was doing there homework. So we had about 4 days of limits there.....my best advise follow the weather learn what ducks do accordingly  and scout your butt off....you will put more ducks down, the more you spend in the seat of your truck.

...I also think it doesn't hurt if you can duck call better than an english professor can diagram a friggin' sentence... :chuckle:

Don't let RileyTDF fool you.  I think he can blow duck porno music through his calls... :chuckle:
