Winter Ringnecks

Last January I had a great time sitting in a blind waiting for pheasants to come close to me.  Couldn't wait to do it all over again this winter, but so far the only snow we've gotten has melted away.  Where I photograph pheasants, the ground is kinda ugly when there's no snow on it - just some dead stubble and bare mud patches.  So I really need snow in order to get nice looking pics.   Hopefully we'll get some snow that sticks so I can get back out there and "shoot" some more birds.  Until then, we'll have to make do with some shots from last year:

Tom, those pictures are absolutely stunning.  Those are one of my favorite upland game birds.  I sure wish I can take a picture like that.  Great work. Thanks for sharing.  John

Toms bird work is phenom as far as I am concerned....from grouse to ducks to now upland.   Always a treat.  Glad to see more of his work.
