30" 2 point
« on: January 09, 2010, 09:44:44 PM »
Was digging through some pictures and figured I'd post this one.  Many talk of 30"ers, but as a straight two point, I haven't seen many pics.  This is the second one I've seen and first to get a pic of.  Sorry for the quality.

I saw a similar 2 pt. in S. Dakota a few years ago, it was as impressive as any of the 3 and 4 points I missed :chuckle:

I've heard that 2 points are 2 points for life.  Anyone else heard that?

Opening afternoon this past year, in the middle of a wide open wheat feild. I saw a bachlor group of 6 bucks.  ALL of them were two points. I swear on my mothers grave stone that the biggest two point in the bunch would give the one pictured here, a serious run for his money...... :dunno:.   He was about 600 yards out but I could clearly see that his antlers were wider than his ears by a long shot.  In the unit I am hunting, the gammie told me that they were going to have a two point permit hunt to try and cull some of them out.

we killed one like that in Idaho this year. not quite as wide but the sucker was at least 26 in off of the top of the head. he was a brute and I passed him up last year and this year. Steve shot him and when I saw him up close I wish I would have done the same. Sorry I just had to tell the story. Great pick.

I wonder if I have seen that guy.  I;ve seen two in the valley that look like him.  Found the sheds of one of them one year.

I saw a huge two point in colorado while bow hunting , he was a three hundred plus pounder at 40 yards . To bad it was a three point unit . Not even a spec of a third point any where .

I wonder if some of these bucks have regressed from decent racks to only having two points while retaining some of the width?

I've seen some big 2 pts in the dry land around ritzville when hunting coyotes in the basin.... Thats what killing all the 3pts will do for ya? where abouts was this one?
