Did you get a new puppy? What did you name it? What kind is it? Are you going to post a photo? :dunno:

:)  I drive over to Missoula, MT next Sat and pick him up.  Haven't decided on a name yet.  He's a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.  I'll post photos as soon as I get him home.

Absolutely, when you get ready to try one or two out call Mr. Randy Oller in northern Cal.  He has some really top notch big game Leopard Curs.  He switched from walkers about 25 years ago and runs and trees about 40+ bears every year.  I have personally seen him unsnap two dogs on a fresh bear, dogs take off signing, he walks over and see cub prints in the mud.  Calls his dogs off and they came back and hopped back on the box.  They will go all day on a bad bear.  They would do everything my blueticks used to do without the knuckleheadedness.  I have seen him walk up to a bear tree with 6 dogs at the base going to town, take photos and tell his dogs lets go and they walk back to the truck with him, off leash.  But you need to get McDuffie lineage Leopard Curs and don't make the mistake of thinking Catahoulas and American Leopard Curs are the same dogs.  It's like comparing blueticks to blue heelers.  When you get ready, let me know and I'll put you in touch with Mr. Oller.
