Estate Shotshells?

Anyone ever use Estate shotshells?  I was at Wholesale Sports today and saw the Estate brand shells on the shelf.  I have never used them before.  Just wondering if they make a decent load, or should be avoided.  The Cabelas website gives it good reviews, but I can't find objective reviews anywhere else online.  TIA

they are fine for trap and doves and qauil but i would not trust them with much bigger birds spend the few extra bucks and shoot some better stuff. i use allot of them for doves and clays.

I have shot a bunch of Estate Buckshot....never tried their birdshot. The buckshot went bang and destroyed stuff, I was happy.

i used their #6 "high velocity hunting loads" this season and they seemed to work just fine.  you might be careful with a gas operated gun, they seem to shoot kind of dirty.  but i've got a pump, so no issues there.

I have used them in my 28ga for grouse and they have worked fine.

iv only used their 'target loads' for shootin clays... you can usually find cases on sale for around 45 bucks if you look around. they do make a mess outa my autoloader though.

I really like their steel loads. I have a few boxes of 3'' 1 1/8oz. BB. It really puts the hurt on the ducks when they are getting out there a ways. Thye burn dirty, but I'm gonna pick some more up soon, I like em better than the kents.

Hm? nice thread.  I recently bought my Uncles Mossberg 88 it came with a box of Estate 7 1/2.  Don't remember seeing them before.

I will be using them in a SxS, so cycling wont be an issue.  I think I will try them out at the range this year.  Thanks for all the responses!

they are a good cheap all-purpose shell.  i used them for several years for trapshooting when i was shooting a lot and didnt have time to reload not one single problem, although i did try and reload a few and that was a bad idea.  the brass is cheap and doesnt hold shape when you punch the primer i cant attest to their 12ga for hunting as i hunt with a 20 but the few boxes of 20ga field loads ive used from them went bang and birds were on my grill.  i also use estates in my 410, a lot of estates, during the summer killing startlings in my dads cherry orchard not a single problem there either and we kill a ton of starlings every year.

ive shot quite a few through my various 870's and never had an issue.  they do seem to be a bit dirtier then other brands though.

I shot about 40 cases of Estate 12ga last year works fine for the money.  Id check Rio too.

I had a 500 that cycled everything except the cheap Estate loads, jammed every time. I was not sure if it was the rounds of the extractor was not catching good. Probably the gun but if I recall the rims on the estate were not as defined as the other loads I was shooting.
