Seat O The Pants Fastback Harness
«

Has anybody ever used one? I had a Cabelas gift card and couldn't decide what to spend it on, but saw these tree stand harnesses and they had them at $10 off. Figured since I have a climbing stand and plan on trying it out for the first time this year, I probably should have some sort of harness so I don't kill myself falling out of a tree. Just curious if anybody here has used this one, and if not, what kind have you used?

Can't speak for that model, but having dealt with similar harnesses I would recommend the HSS vest-type setup over the straps.

Thanks Rasbo. I already ordered this one but if I don't like it I might take you up on your offer so I can see how yours works.

I bought a HSS vest. I also have two tree stands that I bought that came with that type of harness and have never used either harness. The vest is just so much easier and faster and comfortable to use. You can have one of the strap harnesses if you want.....let me know and I'll grab it next time I'm at the cabin and send it to you.

Really? So this type of harness isn't liked that well? Seems like being a $90 harness it would be better than the cheap ones they give you when you buy a stand. But I don't know, I am totally new to tree stand hunting and know nothing about them. The reviews posted on Cabelas looked made it sound like it was good. Some said they liked it because they could wear it under their outer clothing and therefore it didn't interfere with using their pockets or anything else. Oh well, I will try it out in a couple weeks when I take the climbing stand out to learn how to use it.
