don't know that he was apposed to hunting, wouldn't surprise me though. they were/are apposed to use being able to use our public lands. that's the level of "preservation" they wanted. pay taxes on it but don't use it, gotta save it for the polar bears don't ya know

The majority of the roadless (huntable) areas were re-opened for development by W, for mining, timber harvest and oil research. One of the large roadless area's in Wyoming is now a gas field with no hunting opportunities.
