Cabela's Mountain Hunter Boots
« on: May 07, 2010, 08:49:48 PM »
I am in the market for some new boots. I think I am pretty well set on the Cabela's mountain hunter boots, but, I would like some feedback from anyone who has or had a pair before I lay down my hard earned green backs.

Thanks. I went to Cabelas yesterday and apparently the mountain hunter boot are a discontinued item and supplies are limited. I guess if they are discontinued, that pretty much answers my question. So, I ended up getting a pair of Meindl Denali's. I really liked the Kenetrek boots, I just could not spend the extra $100 this time around.

You've got a great boot...the Meindl built boots are very good, I use to wear the mountain hunters and had good success, the Danali looks like it's a bit sturdier boot.  If I was buying a mid weight boot the Denali would be on my list of possible choices.

I wear the Kenetrek's now but I was never unhappy with my Meindl's....
