I shredded a scirocco on the elk I killed with it, but was less then sure if its future performance based on the pieces of bullet that were scattered in my meat. I have no doubt that they are good bullets, but IME at 3400 and 20 paces it was a scatter. the berger is not as tough as the scirocco.....so I doubt it would have been better.

not saying either is a bad bullet, cause they sure aren't......but at big velocities.......chit gets violent.

Oh, gotcha.  One of my shots at 70yds on a muley went through a rib on each side and left one inch holes through both sides of the rib cage with the bonded scirocco.  I was thinking the worst at first though.

Awesome accuracy.  Your post is one of the first that I have read where someone realizes where the Nosler BT belongs, way the hell out there so it won't blow up and in a weight that will retain some mass.  Lots of shooters wont shoot them anymore because of their violent expansion/fragmentation at hyper velocity and close range.  I have gone to the accubond in some of my rifles because it's more versatile all around and you get the same accuracy that you would from the ballistic tip.  thanks for the info.

Gadwall,

I must point out that I use the BT's way out there for a few reasons.

1.  Point of impact and BC is identical with the accubonds
2. The BT's have proven in my gun to be more accurate at the long distances.
3. I don't know how they would hold up with that kind of velocity.

Both great bullets when used properly.

I use 92 grains of H1000 215 fedral primers and 200 grain nosler accubonds and have good accuracy and has done good on game. I have;nt shot anything real close mostly 250 yards and further.
