Foxpro?
« on: January 15, 2010, 07:27:53 PM »
So I ended up getting a Foxpro scorpion for a present, but am having a lot of trouble getting it to work.  I've read that they have had some problems, but their very good at getting things fixed.  The question that I have is, is it worth the hassle to get it fixed or should I just get one of the wildlife tech callers?  I doesn't seem like rocket science to make one of these callers that should work?  I thought that Foxpro was top notch, but now I don't know.  I'd rather have a call that I could count on.  A bad call could really ruin a hunt! :bash:  Bear

Sure, I'd be upset if my $400 product didn't work, but did you at least contact FoxPro and give them the opportunity to make it right?   :dunno:  It could have been damaged after it left the factory... or it could be a simple fix.  Things happen and pretty much anything can break at any time.  FoxPro has a great rep... give them a chance before you publicly slam them.

Also, I wouldn't count on any electronic device to make or break my hunt (this is why I also take an extra knife, flashlight, batteries, etc... and often, a backup rifle)... carry mouth calls (I even carry back up mouth calls)... just in case.  I have a Spitfire on the way that was delayed because of high demand... no sweat.  I'm sure that I will be happy with it.  If not, I know that FoxPro will make it right.   :twocents:

i have been having very very bad luck so far with foxpro which is unreal because i had never heard of hardly any problems. if you call talk to steve he has been working with me since monday trying to make stuff right with me. he is working hard to do so. i had the wrong call list instaled on my new caller then when it got here the remote was broke and now the caller won't work. so he has sent me a new caller and remote and its in the mail. i would give them a chance i am in the same shoes as you right now but i have got the ball movin to get things fixed right. but it has been very :bash: for awhile now. i feel your pain :chuckle:
