Cutco Knives

Last Christmas I received a nice new Cutco knife from some good friends. The knife is a Clip Point Hunting Knife with the Double-D Edge (serrated) and let me tell you it is outstanding. This last season I used it on 3 deer, field dressed, skinned, caped heads, pried vertebrae apart and even sawed a little bone. All this and it is just now needing a edge put back on it.

 I have to tell you that I have NEVER been a serrated edge fan for hunting knives but I am now. I have some very expensive knives and a different one for about every possible situation while in the woods but with this thing I only have to carry one in my pack, and not have to worry about added weight.

 If you are looking for a great do everything knife that will hold an edge under a lot of situations, you should check these out sometime.

I just bought the hunter knife this last fall and I love it. Check out craigslist, I picked mine up brand new for about half the retail price.

my wife bought some a few years ago because the sales lady told her they couldnt cut human flesh. i got home and heard that story and laughed my a$$ off,the knives knew the difference between human and other flesh. ya right! great knives though.

My wife bought a whole set a few months ago, they are nice knives. If anyone is interested there is a young single Mom raising a kid by herself that sells them in my area. I'd give her your number if you'd like.

My mother in law purchased one of their filet knives for me a few years back. Interestingly enough, it has gutted many more chickens than fish over the years. We butcher and cut up 50 chickens a year and I've used it the last three years with out any serious sharpening other than on a steel. It is due for a little touch up but it has held its edge very well. It also has a great non-slip grip that I wish I could have on every knife I own.

Cutco knives are great. I used my pocket knife on my elk and my buddies deer. Still sharp as can be.

My hunting partners son used to sell them and I have had mine for at least 15 years. They are great knives and when they get a little dull there are numbers for cutco people who will come to your house and sharpen them for you at no cost.

Cutco!!! wow! A blast from the past, I sold those when I was a college freshman.Still have a couple of knives and utensils,with me since 1977! Are they still made in the US? Is it still an Alcoa company? Stainless Steel? Try not to loose them!

I bought a set for my wife about 4 or 5 years ago and they're great. Got the orange handled hunting knife for free. I didn't get te serrated one though because I didn't know how I'd sharpen it. I actually don't use it much as I like the feel of my smaller Buck and Browing knives better but it gets stuffed in my pack during big game season just in case. It's kind of a scam, I wish they'd just sell them in stores.

Cutco knives are great.  We have a set of kitchen knives and I have a couple hunting knives and a fillet knife.
