Step one is to wash your surface.  Get it as clean as you can.  If you have any wax on it you can use some rubbing alcohol to clean any residue left after washing.

Step two is to position your decal where you want it and tape it down on the top.

When removing the backing paper do it slowly and make sure all your vinyl is staying on the transfer tape.  You dont want to put your decal on and realize that the dot on your "I" is still on the wax backing.  If you notice any lifting just lay it back down and rub it a little and try again.

The vinyl I use is some of the best stuff made.  It will last for many, many years even in extreme weather.  You just have to be careful when installing, once the adhesive touches the surface it will stick instantly and you will not be able to move it.  So you want to make sure you have it positioned and level.  If you have a large decal or you are worried about it you can use a fine mist sprayer filled with water and a drop of liquid dish soap.  Lightly spray the surface with the water.  This will allow you some repositioning and to get out any air bubbles.  If you use the water you have to squeegee out all the water.  I would leave the transfer tape on for a couple of hours to make sure the decal sticks to the glass.

When removing the transfer tape, do it slowly and peel it back on itself with a rocking back and forth motion.  If you cleaned your surface and got any water out from under the decal you wont have any problems.

How about one with  crosshairs from a scope with 4 different animal heads in each corner? I saw it on here somewhere.  I found it, It's Re: Official Hunting-Washington Decals!!! « Reply #38

Can you do something along the lines of that?  :dunno: Just curious? Maybe add a moose and a bighorn instead of the birds.

That is very cool that you are doing this Kain....nice work.

I also like the idea of an arrow slash between the hunt/wa...or maybe a bullet also.

That is Backwoods-boys design.  I can do something similar if you like.  Just remember the more stuff you add the smaller they are and they will be hard to see from a distance.

Good idea guys, I will see what I can do.
