Shhhh. There are no deer around here. Any deer that are here are on private property and they are dinky.

By the way that is a solid buck!!! Great job to the hunter!!

My buddys archery and taxidermy shop, has a royal city buck in for a mount, just like that one only a little bigger, it has better backs, looks like there were some nice deer running around there last season.  Congrats to the young hunter.

That's one of them Desert spill over bucks. At least that's what we were calling them a few years ago even though we couldn't find any.

I've been hunting in Royal City for the past 4-5 years, mostly on youth hunts and the early muzzleloader seasons. I took all of these deer with my .243 Winchester. All within 100 yards. Here are my 4 deer taken out of there:

2004 Doe
(1/2 hour into shooting light)

5x5 Buck

2005 Doe

2006 2 point buck shot at 20 yards

People, people, get this idea that there are deer near royal city out of your head. while there are a few in the desert unit consider it to be an island of deer in the middle of an ocean of no deer. Wastickslinger is right they dont exist around there

Hey, that's my buck! Sweet!

Coonhound, where did you get the pic? It spread around pretty around pretty quick over here (some people in Yakima even heard about it), but I had no idea that it would cross the mountains. Cool.

How do you guys think it scores? I haven't talked to the taxidermist in a while and he hadn't scored it at that time.
