I have not been able to find "real" 550 para cord in awhile. Most of the stuff sold as para cord is not.

Mhadix, your wife does a great job, how well does that sling stay on your shoulder? I have yet to find a sling that stays put well.

it stays put about the same as any other sling.

Great looking sling! It looks like a flat sinnet, but do you happen to know which one? I'd be interested in knowing.

I use para cord a lot as well, I also use braided mending twine, or ganion (sp?) material. I still have a bunch of net needles, and carry a couple of them in my pack with different size twine on them. Keeps it handy, doesn't get tangled, and I can really put a lash-up on something if I have a full needle!

I get my para cord out of the Sportsman's Guide. It's not the real deal, but it's cheap and it works. Any commercial fishing supply place will have a bunch of twine and net needles to keep it on.

First thing I do to a new hunting coat is sew a large button on the shoulder of it. Keeps the sling from slideing off!!

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best....just not easy to find, lol

Parachute Cord, the Duct tape of rope...If you can't fix it or build it with duct tape or 550 it can't be fixed or built.

I know what 550 is!

I was being a smart @ss. I keep 50' on my packboard and another in my day pack. Plus an extra 100' of it in my tool box. Along with severl rolls of duck tape.

I even keep some in my shop along with duct tape.
