22-250 Owners...
« on: January 24, 2010, 10:21:36 AM »
My hunting partner is looking to buy a 22-250 for varmit control in his orchards.  He's  not looking for the best of the best u could say, just a good shooting rifle for some fun.  If you guys got any good info i could share with him about purchasing one of these, it would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

For a reasonable price and still good accuracy I'd look at a Savage.

Stevens- just as accurate as all the rest and half the price. My only complaint was trigger pull but you could pay a gunsmith and it would still be cheaper than going with another manufacturer
This closet is taken- go find your own

+1, I think Cabelas has them scoped in 22-250 for around $360.

I bought a Howa 1500 synthetic blued in 22-250 with a 22 inch barrell for $399 in November from Wholesale Sports.  I like its feel, and shoots very good so far.  Still need to adjust the trigger if possible.

Black Sheep in Idaho had a Remington SPS blued bull barrel for $504 when I bought this, but I didn't want the heavy barrel

 :yeah:

The trigger can be easily adjusted yourself... took me a few minutes...
