I for one enjoy hunting all species of deer, actually own property in the entiat valley and have seen bigger problems in other areas effecting mule deer wintering areas such as predation and cattle grazing , for example the sinlehekin. Whitetails and mule deer co-exist just fine there! Cattle doesnt! I feel there alot harder to hunt.

I shot a dink 3 point whitey this year that was running with a much bigger 4 point whitey.  This was up the mud creek road in Entiat.  I had never seen them up in that area before this year, I was pretty suprised.

My uncle and dad have both claimed to have seen whitetail in the Swakane years ago but none recently, kind of weird they'd be hanging around with the "real deer"  :chuckle:
