Well with input from several members I finally pulled the trigger on a new front loader. I decided on the .50 cal Knight Bighorn. Should arrive sometime in the next week. I cant wait to dress her up, and take her out.

I paid 350 to have it shipped to my door from New Mexico. They are tricky to find. Found a blued, standard stock for 160 in Alaska but had my heart set on this one.

As an Archer, I dont know much about them, but I thought those were not legal in this state, is the cap exposed?

Im an archer as well, I bought it for my mult-season tag

Also for my nephew to elk hunt with. It is legal/exposed.

They are legal as Knight Bighorns come with both 209 (not legal) and regular breech plug for exposed percussion or musket cap.

Thats cool, I have a Zouave 50 cal. in case I ever get drawn multi, but wont be able to afford it this year (just going point option) also my wife wants to start hunting so I gave her a CVA kit to make her own .50 percussion.
Just my own thing, but I am a traditionalist and feel that one of those things just doesn't fit in.
But again,That is my own thing. I judge you not, we are all entitled to our own choices........

Hey Ras,

The wife still doesnt know that the gun is on the way. She gonna crap, hope I'm at home when it arrives <Grin>. So I'm forced to use the Cabelas cards that I got for x-mas for all the goodies, no matter how much more they are at Cabelas.

You could skip the Sportsman's Show and instead head over to the Home Show in Tacoma and bring home some flowers to her.
