That would be a trophy for the Sapphire website!
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

i thought you of all people would be able to recognise a elk bone, I'm a little disappointed

what do you we think we got for a spread on the ears here. 1.1" or so. I would also go with bench with that guess. Would have to be more like 1.3 to be mulie.

Definitely a mature blackie, I see swollen tarsal's, must be rutted up something fierce... I've seen two mature blackie's like that recently going toe to toe over a doe, they must have pushed each other 3-4 inches, amazing power in those critters. :chuckle:

Bone do you have a picture of the tail? The only way you can honestly tell a true blacktail is by the tail. It has awfully big ears maybe it's a benchleg!!! :chuckle:

Everyone is SO opinionated on how you hunt these things.  It's MY way or the highway, you say.  Well, I think that we all need to stick together - whether you're trapping them, whacking them with sticks, poisoning them or whatever.  The anti-mousers are just trying to divide us...   :chuckle:

I'm pretty the one I got was a benchleg.

There is controversy on here whether or not baiting is a legit hunting tactic.  I was somewhat against it only in th efact I hadn't tried it, so I decided to take a gander.  Sure enough, the buck walked right up to my bait station and I snapped a pic.   I need to work out the trail cam though as laying there on the ground waiting got to be kinda uncomfortable.

Great pics.  In the past, when I've been my own trailcam, I've taken a barbeque, radio and a lawnchair.  It really helped to pass the time.  Of course, I've never posted a pic in the trail cam section...

Hehehe...this is continuing to get better.  The pics are great but your commentary is pissing my wife off because I'm laughing loud enough to bother her.
