We have a few nice bucks that come in for a free feed when the snow gets deep in the high country.

Great pics Wolfbait  I knew sooner or later that they would be coming down out of those mountains. The big one must be a 28" wide. He is a great mountain buck. Post some more of those if you get them. If you find those sheds, post some pics of them ;)

I guess it must have something to do with the appreciation of the outdoors. I look at the bucks that you have posted and those from others on W-H and it always brings my heart up, from the disappointment as to what is happening to our wildlife. All of you have some dandies, and I know the thrill of seeing these bucks every year and that even if I did not get to hang them on my wall I have seen how they have grown and I will feed them another year with my broncs, with hopes that the wolves don't get them.

Nice Bucks for sure. What elevation are those at. I didnt think the snow was that deep over there this year.

Were are around 2800ft, and your right we don't have much snow, this was taken right after a 6in snow fall that melted off shortly. Right now we only have a bout 7 inches and most of our southern slopes are bare'n off. Right now it seems more like the end of March instead of February 2. Bucks are starting to drop their horns, found a nice three in the barn this morning.

Nice photo's.  I'm not sure if its just me, but my dad and I were talking about the weather the other day, and to us it almost feels like were about a month off on the seasons the last few years.  Like winter is coming early and leaving early.  Might just be a perception, wonder if anyone else gets that feeling.

This winter came late I thought, and then we had a cold spell in December and January is usually the cold snap. So I think we are a month behind. I heard on the news out of Spokane last night that 1900 was the last winter like this year. I like the shorter winters as you know the winters can be rather long here in the Methow. Other parts of the country are in a hell of a fix, maybe it's Gods way of telling certain people that there is no such thing as global warming? ;)
