birds for training?

I should have some pigeons this spring and I am in Burlington. I am catching some now but just enough to train my dog with. Once they start breeding I should catch a lot more. Hit me up in a few months. I caught about 800 last year and sold a little under half of those.

For about 20 bucks you can buy some 2x4's and cheap chicken wire at home depot.  That is how I made my pigeon coup, though none of the pigeon's were long term residents

I have a guy from Oregon that might be meeting me half way with a bunch of chukar, pheasant, and ducks for training. I am trying to make it worth his while and get a bunch of guys that wants birds to pony up. I could hold them for a day but everyone would need to pick them up right away. Anyone interested? I will get the exact prices and post them here if people are interested.

I usually have some coming out my ears by now but not this year so far. If you find a good source with a bunch let me know. I might have to buy some this year myself if it stays this slow.

I have yet to find anyone with an abundance of pigions 

Last year everyne had them and there was no trouble getting them, bu tthis year is differant.

Got 5 pigions today 

The guy i was getting my pigions from called me the other day and brought me 5 today, The dogs are "EXCITED" and know what they are for.

He told me he is getting birds again abn can get me more when i need them.
We will see  I told him i want more in 2 weeks. No wi just have to see if he comes through or flakes out on me again

That's a mix of pheas and chukar, but there about 50 chukar there.  I have somewhere around 400 eggs due to hatch next weekend.  I never get better than about a 85% hatch rate, so I'll be happy if I end up with 350. I'm setting more the 17th, and then that will be it for the chukar.
