Huntaholics Outdoors Mossy Oak Hats for sale!
« on: January 27, 2010, 03:50:02 PM »
After factoring all the elements into production I have decided to not go with the mesh.
After all most of us hunt in washington and the weather is not exactly mesh hat weather.
I am going with the new break up mossy oak hat for production.
I might possibly do the flex fit at a much later date but for now Im gonna go with the below hat.
I can start taking pre-orders now.
Please email me at huntaholics@live.com

When i receive 12 pre-orders I will start with the production process.
Thanks for all the advice on what to go with.
Ill be waiting for your pre-orders.

I like the design but I don't really care for the side mesh hats. I would also like to see white instead of orange for the lettering...........just my opinion. Nice work backwoods.
Just one more day

Mesh is very old school and unpopular.  What happened to the old design that you had lots of positive feedback on?  Flex fit, full back, camo with white embroidered logo/lettering.

So do you have huntaholics "Indoor" hats?   :sas:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I don't mind mesh, especially in summer, but I would like to see a real prototype to confirm detail and color.

Ha ha.
the flex fit is still an option they are just more expensive and harder to produce.
i will see what the lettering looks like in white.
thanks for the feedback guys.

i dont mind the trucker style mesh, as long as they arent the cheap foam type bill you know?  Also, i think the flex fit, full back camo hat with no words, just the skull logo on the front, looks the best.  :twocents:

I like the middle pictures of the hat, not a fan of the mess with the orange lettering.

I don't mind mesh, especially in summer, but I would like to see a real prototype to confirm detail and color.

On a serious note, I have ordered jerseys, jackets, and hats (no old school crap) for my office softball team and our vender has always been more than willing to ship us a sample (without any logos) so that we can see the real product before ordering.  Backwoods, you might want to see about doing that and post some photos of the samples.  It is tough to get people to pony up money when not even the supplier has put his hands on the product.

Also, about 3 years ago we ordered 24 really nice wool blend, flex fit, hats with an embroidered logo and sold them to employees at cost for something like $19 which included a lump sum for shipping them to our office.  We get pretty good rates because we order a lot of promo stuff but in order to make any money and still have them at a price that people will pay, you are going to have to go with a bigger order.

Other groups at work (I was involved with the softball team) have tried to sell cheaper twill hats with an open back with leather strap and the were not popular.  Granted that was with a market of about 300 people but the hats I put together are 3 years old, our "approved" logo has changed and I still get people wanting to know where I got my hat so they could buy one.   :dunno:

i think that the design that you have on the duffel bags would look prety good on the hats,  i realy like the way huntaholics outdoors is written on the duffels, just that itself would make a good hat IMO.

Here is what im thinking for a hat.
it will be embrodered and one size fits all.
I think im gonna go with the mesh mossy oak hat.
its different and i like unique.

As long as you like it, that's what matters.. you may end up buying all of them... :chuckle: :chuckle:
I don't like the mesh and I don't care for "Outdoors" or "Addicted" as they are used by other Companies, i.e  Elknut Outdoors
You might check with Chris to see if "ADDICTED" is usable also as it is part of his brand

I understand the frustration. I take all of the feedback I get with a grain of salt. I really do appreciate all the posts that i get.  I take the opinions and take into account the cost and the ease of production. I cant please everyone and I apologize for the frustration.  From now on I will try and not suggest anything unless I can produce the item at a reasonable price and time frame.

Ha ha you mean like this....
This one would be very custom and i would have to charge like 100$.
So having said that ill probably skip the cowboy hats.
I possibly might do a beanie though.
