Warden is in Eastern WA. About 15 miles south east of Moses Lake. ;)
This hunt is always a good time. Everybody in the past has always won a raffle prize of some sort. Top raffle prize is a new rifle.
Grab a buddy and see if you can hunt for the full 24 hours! I haven't been able to stay up but have come close. :P
After the official weigh in there will be barbecue pork sandwiches for everybody.
Last year the winning team had six dogs. We will be doing a broader pay out this year to try and make it more fair.
PAYOUTS for three categories - Biggest male, Biggest female, Most dogs
1st -$300
2nd -$200
3rd -$100
hard luck raffle for those who get skunked -$100
Hope to see a few of you at the hunt :hello:

Well we just got done with the derby. The pull pork sandwiches and  beer afterwords tased great. there were 73 total dogs 67 2 man teams the biggest male was 31.6 lbs the biggest female was 28.8 lbs the smallest was 16 lbs most dogs was 9. My cousin and I had a great time. I don't need the derby to have a good time but i look forward to this event each year. I missed a couple a of dogs at less than 200yrds that i should have killed... Saw lots of deer several coyotes we couldn't get shots on... I'll post some pics tomorrow when I can get a better pic of all the yotes.

Not bad considering the conditions... 2 years ago there were 130+ yotes stacked up in 24hrs but then again it was cold and there was snow on the ground. At 8 deg the coyotes had to hunt most of the day.
