Great sheds, all.. I've spent the last 5 days out and about, and managed to find FOUR sets! ... all still attached to their current owners. Six little guys all had one side.. but all the big boys were still packing. I would have thought it would be the other way around.. with those bigger horns having more gravitational pull. Total critter count: Deer: 150+. Coyotes: 7. Chuckar: 10. Sheds: two white partials.

Anyone else seeing deer with headgear? I'm shocked at how many are still carrying around here.

Also, anyone run into a pair in Safeway in Chelan and chat for a while? Ran into a fellow that says he has 180 already this season. Figured such a dedicated shed hunter may be on this site. :)

Happy hunting,
-Kari

When I was up there a couple weeks ago I saw three 4pt bucks still packing and only saw one that had already shed. I did manage to find three sheds but they were all last years sheds.

Yeah, its a different year up here. Lots more area to search. I definitely know where the deer are hanging out, and haven't been moving them... but as for sheds on the ground I haven't been very lucky; the fellow I ran into in Safeway said he found the sheds of the big 5 point I'd been watching.. or at least plucked them out of the area I'd seen him last... so I know there ARE sheds out there to be found, I'm just not the one finding them. :)

These are the only two we've found that I'm excited about this year (both white). The two pt. was found by my boyfriend.. he found another smaller one, and so did my mother.

Yes; I don't think it is though.. just a well-preserved blacktail I found on my special permit elk hunt in Toledo this fall/winter.

Nice haul antlerking!
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I think antlerking needs to figure out what each horn costs in gas money :) from home to the hills and back twice a week in gas money per sheds that he has found :).  And the picture with your dog retrieving a shed is awesome!!!

I figured for the toy its 30 bucks to fill up and with around 6-8 fill ups, its around 6-9 bucks per antler
pretty cheap entertainment :)
