Leather Treatment Product
« on: January 27, 2008, 07:00:43 PM »
Well, everybody has an opinion & that is a paraphrase of how my old platoon sgt would say it.  Enuf said.  Anyway, I have been pleased w/Montana Pitch Blend as a treatment for my boots & every other leather item that I take to the field.  It is 100% natural & includes pine pitch which is scent-friendly.  No silicone or other chemicals that will let off a "foreign" scent.  My son-in-law is a registered climbing guide in WA & has lots of products shoved at him to try for free.  I put him on to this product produced from a small operation in OR.  He said that it beats anything he has used included all the "hi-tech, synthetic" stuff.  Is it 100% waterproofing?-no but it is easy to apply & reapply, keeps old leather soft & don't scare the Blacktails away.  If you are happy w/what you are using, ignore this-obviously you don't need to fix something that ain't broke!  www.montanapitchblend.com

Obenaufs agreed!!!

But, not that pleased with it ability to keep moisture out.

Preserve leather, the best I've ever used.

Waterproof ability, nope.
