Another one for the wall!!!!!!!!!

 Once again I headed out after work for a quicky, and boom! I got a double banded Mallard! That makes 7 this year. Man Im pumped! I dont know if ya'll can see it, but the right leg is a $50 band. These bands are so old I can't read the reward numbers......Oh well Im still happy!

Not being a duck hunter, what are the bands for, and who puts them there?  Congrats by the way!!

I dont know..... I can read all the #s on the left leg. But not the reward band on the right. :dunno:

You get to keep them. On the Avise ones, you can call in or go online and fill out some info then they will send you some information about your bird with a certificate.

If you can read one set of numbers they can tell you what the other number is. The usually keep really good records, though that $50 reward has probably expired if the numbers have worn off.

Good one.  They will still give you the $50.  They like receiving info on the birds that were banded a while back.  I have shot a few that were almost worn through.
