Does anybody have any experience with the 451 Detonics Mag? I was cleaning out some reloading stuff and rediscovered a stash of .451 Detonics Mag brass and ammo. I know that it'sI got to thinking that it might be a fun caliber to mess with. I was thinking about having a 1911 converted but I'm not sure that it would be worth it.
If nothing else, I might try pulling some of the bullets from the loaded ammo. The 185gr HPs just look like a devastating bullet. I wonder how they would hold up out of a 45 Colt? Or better still, think of what would happen with one of them out of a 454! That would have to be fun.
