Not to bad a year
« on: February 04, 2010, 09:20:41 AM »
Haven't been on here much lately but I sure enjoyed the season but it's just to bad it's over  :'( Weathers nice and lots of birds around and all I can do is watch them and wait on next year.

Didn't keep good track but got in around 40 trips this year and had some really good days and of course those days of watching nothin but empty skys.

Had those days when it seemed like I couldn't hit my butt with both hands then turn around and then there was a few of those days 5 shots and by 8:30 or so I'm done

Then this day had the first 3 real early but couldn't seem to get that 4th bird (poor shooting to start with) then it slowed down. At about 3 in the afternoon I decided to take a few pictures and call it quits when here comes 4 or 5 I make a dash for cover give a couple  of calls they turn I take my time and I finish up and even get home before dark  :hello:

Last day I didn't get to go till the afternoon and never got to fire a shot but the day before it was just awesome even though I didn't quite limit out. First bird was a single that came on a rope one shot and splash down. Not more then 30 minutes later and 3 are on the same path. First two shots connect dead on but missed the 3rd for a nice triple and a limit. Things got real slow after that and I called it a good day and snapped a couple of pics and headed back home around noonish.
