Best place to purchase Nikon D90
« on: February 06, 2010, 09:33:18 PM »
My wife currently has a D40 but is looking to upgrade to a D90 and we just started looking. There are a ton of places on line with a wide range or prices. What recommendations would you have as reputable dealer for new or refurbished cameras with competitive costs and good customer service? Also, are there any good auction sites or classifieds to look for good deals? We may also be looking for a good 70-200 2.6 lens.

Thanks

There are many pitfalls buying electronics online. Some sell gray market with no USA warranty. Some sell you the camera body cheap then charge extra for everything in the box that goes with it. No doubt they have thought up more ways to do it.
It is worth buying from a reputable dealer with USA warranty. Here is one place to check out a dealer.

If it sounds to good to be true, well it probably is.

Buying cameras online can lead to many horror stories. Make sure to use a reputable shop that others have had luck with. A couple that I know people use are below.

Or you could always buy local
