Need help finding a taxidermist
« on: February 07, 2010, 09:26:20 AM »
Hi Everyone:
I hope that I am posting this in the correct location. If I'm not I apologize. Anyway I am looking for a taxidermist in SE Washington to do my husbands deer head from this past season. He is away on extended duty for the Army and I am back with my parents in Pullman. I would know exactly where to take it back home but that's not possible. Quite frankly I'm tired of lugging it around and would like to suprise him when he returns.
Thanks for any possible suggestions
Joanne

Mike Casper, Walla Walla.  He has done numerous birds and 3 deer for me, all are excellent.  Reasonable as well.

Do not use Straight Arrow Taxidermy!!!! He does crappy work The owners name is Jess Carr. My deer mount from last year looks like crap. Im just adding this here because I dont want you to make the mistake of using this guy. Good luck on your search.

Thanks everyone for your help:
I was really impressed with Jeff's work at Trails End Taxidermy. Unfortunately no pictures are available for some of the other taxidermists that were suggested. I have scheduled an appointment with Jeff for this weekend. I'm so excited. He really seems nice and easy to work with

Thanks again for all the help and personal messages.
