If you saw 10 dollar on road would you leave it to waste? Would you call Police tell them I found 10 dollar. Can I take it? ???  I dont care if ANYONE drove over Cougars or picked!

If it is killed during the season in which you hold a tag, I believe you can tag it at that time by using your tag.  The rule stated at the beginning of this post applies to those that do not have a tag and to try to keep people from purposely running down game.  Many states offer across the counter road kill tags.  Years back a lady hit a deer by Kiggens Bowl in downtown Vancouver, WA.  It was during deer season, which is unit 564 any deer.  The office let my buddy use his tag on it and he helped us load it in the back of the rig.  It had some blood shot in the neck and two broken legs other than that it was in great shape.   :dunno:

Either way, a dead cougar is a good cougar and it's not a waste to leave it lying dead on the side of a road, because they're not good for anything anyway. Unless a guy wants to spend hundreds of dollars to do something with the hide. Which I wouldn't. I'd spend the money on a new rifle before I'd have a road kill cougar mounted.

Why call 911? Was there an emergency? Were you injured?

Everyone that I have ever talked to has eaten the cougar they killed.  So yeah cougars are good for something.

I've eaten cougar killed this season and it was a nice white meat that was similar to pork. I'd eat it again in a heart beat.
God Bless,
Scott
