still packin here too
« on: January 30, 2008, 01:23:59 PM »
The bucks are still sporting head gear. I watched from afar today. A few times a couple of the bucks got frisky and sparred for a while. No horns popped off though. Does the little buck in the middle  appear to have very large ears? I didnt notice when I was in the field. But on screen they look wierd.

Bone-  There are layers of snow.  The bottom one being crusty. As soon as you sink through the 6 inches of powder you crunch through two inches of old snow. Not easy for sneaking thats for sure. I had a heck of a time trying to sneak out to call dogs in the last two days. No big bucks spotted yet either. I hope I anchor them down before too long or they wont have horns.  Beats working!!!

This sucker busted his G2. I am noticing lots of broken tines in this group of 10 bucks. Young bucks fight club I guess.

I guess that answers my question to you.  How crunchy is it?

That buck with the thirty two inch ears has gotta be at least twenty eight wide :chuckle:
