Blue Snow Mount
« on: January 26, 2010, 04:34:21 PM »
I posted this on the other forum, but hadn't dropped any pics of it over here yet. I'm really happy with how it turned out all in all. This is the one i shot in missouri. the following tells the story.. -16F, flash blizzard, only about 3-6" of snow but the drifts made some roads too deep to drive. we referred to the hotel with love as "the bates", LOL. there was no snow when we arrived on Thursday.

hotel tub BEFORE anyone used it...

nice, you can barely even tell that's not OEM!

before

laying down the sneak

I see you!

bam

and this makes it all worthwhile...

not only that, but last Saturday my wife hung the mount above up on the wall for me while I was up hunting here in WA:

thanks man. I've spent a lot of time chasing snows in Washington this year and I'm glad I opted to get that Blue mounted as you jsut don't really see them up here.

I've been chasing a few of those up here.  Cool looking bird and they blend in with the flock really quick as they start cutting to land.
Cut em!

yeah I really like the coloring between the eagle head, and that triangle blue patch towards the tail. pretty cool bird.
