I like the primos Hot dog and little dog,the hot dog is alittle more versitle then the little dog cause you can sound like an older coyote all the way down to a young pup and it's alot louder to.

I have thought about trying that howler polarbear. Can you do all kinds of coyote vocolizations with it like older, younger, yote howls, ETC, and can you do any distress with it cottontail or ki yi's?

It is adjustable.  By moving the band up or down you can change the pitch deeper or higher.  You can make any coyote sound from barks, yips, howls to critter distress calls.  It is the most versatile howler that I have used.  Their elk power bugle is my favorite elk call as well.

Production Calls - I really like the ELK, and the KOP howlers.
Custom - I have used a Cronk buffalo and cow horn, Bearmans springbok, and several variations of s Slydog howler made with various materials.  Custom calls, by folks who know what they are doing and can tune them correctly, sure makes things easier.

I prefer horn or tusk calls because they are louder.

Looks like rick makes some nice howlers , I have never used one of his as i use a silverdog made by steve nordstrom here is a link , they are easy to blow and control no pitchiness at all and they dont break over on you . http://www.varmintcaller.com/
check out the about us link , youll see these guys know how to call coyotes and make a great sounding howler.

Everybody says that about that pic. I guess the lips are bloody? I'm color blind and I just don't see it.  :chuckle:  It was a lung shot so probably a bit bloody. Oh well. Still a good pic.
