Bases/Rings for stevens 200?
« on: February 15, 2010, 08:59:17 PM »
Anyone own a Stevens 200 with weaver bases/rings by chance? I been trying to figure out which ones to order and can't seem to figure it out. I tried using the mount charts on weavers web site and the part numbers there don't even match any of the part numbers for their own web site.  :bash: I was thinking of getting the 2 piece bases for the savage 110 accutrigger since the savage website says mounts for accutrigger rifles will fit the stevens, but the part numbers listed on the savage web site don't match anything I could find either.  :bash:

I am pretty sure you will need the round top rear reciever type bases for that stevens, which is a pre-accutrigger savage setup.

I have the gun in my van but my wife is gone. :bash: :bash: I can tell you that I had purchased my gun scope and rings from sportsmans warehouse   about 4 years ago and they had tried a few different rings and bases before they found the right match. It might be worth your time to bring it down to wholesale sports because they will help you get the right ones and mount them and boresight your gun for you.
This closet is taken- go find your own

Thats where I am buying the rifle. I will be picking it up tomorrow or Wednesday, so I guess I will just get the scope mounts there. I just won't have the scope yet, and that ships tomorrow.

I really like the B-Square one piece bsae because they have multible cross slots  and make mounting some short coupled scopes easier.  If your going to be leaving the same scope on all the time  the DNZ scope base/ring combo is great.

DNZ(they come in blue also)

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

Did you just buy that gun at Wholesale Sports?  If you did, just bring it back there and tell them you want rings to fit it.  They will figure it out... :dunno:

Actually I picked it up today. I had them mount bases/rings on it while I was there to make sure i got the right stuff. Now I just gotta wait for my scope to get here in mail. I also picked up a gun vice/rest, a sling, and a couple boxes of federal vital-shok loaded with 180Gr Nosler accubonds. I can't wait to try it out.

Get yourself an EGW one-piece base.  These "tactical" mounts give you more wiggle-room when you mount a scope.  Make sure that they're for the "round receiver"... and long or short action.  I have them on both of my 200's:

... or Talley mounts.

burris zee steel rings over weaver mounts is what i  did. pretty sturdy, even with 30mm highs.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
