OK OK OK. Maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. So what.

We have worked it out. Now shed hunting is not cut-throat anymore, it is a soap opera.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Sounds like it was all a bad misunderstanding and just a coincidence.

It still brings out the worst in some people.

Anyway, my bad.

Soap Opera?  Daytime soap like the young and the horny or something?  Maybe Days of our Shed, or Guiding Antler ?

More like an 80s night time soap like "Dallas" with a really good villian, like JR Ewing...

I geuss I don't take shed hunting that personal. I love to do it but I have showed most of my hunting buddys my best spots. They're just bone. I understand what most are saying, it's just not like that for me. I have found a lot more sheds then most of my friends and have no problem telling them you should try this spot or that spot....it's been productive for me. If someone that had kids asked me where a good spot was I would tell them one of my best spots. Unlike my hunting spots....shed hunting is open for me. As long as people get off the couch and do the boot miles....it's all good. There will be more sheds the next year.

With that being said....if anyone with kids wants one of my honey holes for sheds in North Stevens county.......PM me. It's flat ground, easy walk and doesn't take that long to cover the area. I usually find 5-8 sheds a year there. It's a great place for young kids to go with mom or dad. And if you find some...post some pics so I can see what I missed out on.  ;)  I have found some record book sheds there so if you don't have kids and want to know......forgedaboutit.  :chuckle:

Good luck everyone         Brew

My little knucklehead 3 year old boy would probably step on a booner shed like the spike he stepped on last week. Good thing it wasnt a snake.  :chuckle: Now my 5 year old daughter can spot them!! She spotted a white 3 point the other day farther than I though she would. They are able to last about 2 hours on flat ground. I dont let them stop for breaks too often, you run the risk of them crashing from the sugar buzz. Then you have to pack them out too.  :chuckle: They sure love shed hunting.

You might get a PM from me and Pathfinder JR if we can find an excuse to get up there and visit Grandma this spring...

Hey Pathfinder101, I'm going to be in Waitsburg this weekend.  Shouldn't we get out and argue about wolves and Obama while we shed hunt your favorite honey hole. :hello: :dunno: ;)

One of my friens is picking up 10 to 20 moose sheds per season. I guess I am sort of like NWbrew, I can't get to excited when there is no live animal attached.  :chuckle:

I'd love to, but I have National Guard training all this weekend.  Let me know next time you're in town though.
For what it's worth, I played hookey for a couple of hours this afternoon and went shed hunting.  Put about 5 miles on the boots.  NUTHIN.  Saw 26 deer, but didn't find a single shed.  I did see a 3x3 that ran off whith both sides firmly attached. :(
I wasnt by Waitsburg though, the whitetails up higher may have already dropped, but I've been out in the wheat/CRP twice this week and keep seeing bucks that are still packin'.  Good luck this weekend.

Thanks, man.  I hear the steelhead fishing is pretty good right now so that's what I'll be doing.  But I'll certainly keep an eye out on the river banks for a shed. ;)

Let me know how you do.  I haven't gotten out yet.  I think CoryTDF is going on Monday.  Are you fishing the big river, or one of the tributaries?

Not really.  (I am going to try to find out where Dipsnort is going, then take tomorrow off and get there ahead of him and catch all the fish.  That's pretty cutthroat... :chuckle: :chuckle:)

I dont mind if it was jacked. It was probably a little uncalled for. My undies get tight once in a while. I just need to find some more horns.  :chuckle: Besides there just going to collect dust in a pile cause I cant bring myself to cut them up or fasten them together for a lamp. Stupid friggin horns.
