sounds like the klama marina, I supose you could, but if you are in the area anyhow I'ld fish the cowlitz right now. It's been kicking out a few keepers.

I used to fish off shore in Kalama. From the marina there is a public beach about a mile upriver. Lots of guys fished there and we pulled in an occasional keeper. Bring a piece of pipe for a rod holder cause it is just sand.

It is hit and miss on the bite. There are fish there and most were shakers. We used sand shrimp and night crawlers or smelt.

I cannot really afford it either, but am going to take Fishcrazy up on his deal, I think if it's 2 of us it only runs $30 apiece, I dont know where you are located, but he is in Tenino, I am in Chehalis, if we carpooled we could probably save some $$ right there.....We would have to see what FC thinks, and figure out when, but its an Idea.....

Anywhere from the mouth to CastleRock could produce, but with the limited smelt run being pushed in on the tides I'ld concentrate on the lower river. Smelt or sand shrimp, lay it out on a sand bar during incoming and high water, drop back in the holes on the outgoing.
