If you can't gain access to Bridgeport state park...Not too worry.
Going away from the state park cross the bridge in front of the dam, take the first left after crossing the bridge and go up the road behind the dam and you'll find miles of great bank access to fish. The Corps of Engineers has provided lots of areas to fish from the bank in a park like setting with picnic tables, pit toilets and fire pits. (Don't forget to bring firewood)

Remember if you bank fish from the State Park side you need a Colville fishing permit as that is Res land.  I would suggest fishing the area of the launch on the other side of the river, or there are several access spots on the road that runs along the shore (I forgot the name) Runs between Pearl Hill and Highland Orchard Rd..  Good Fishing and take Pictures!

thx again Big D, just got back. fished the Met, couldn't catch a thing, looked foward to tims cafe, it was closed, couldn't catch lunch either. so with daylight running out, we just stayed on the river. shoulda gone to Rufus, atleast sitting in a chair soaking power bait, tending a fire, cooking bratts and anything else that burns, woulda been more enjoyable. will keep in mind for future visit, thx again.
