where to turkey hunt

Where is a good place to turkey hunt in western washington?  First year bow hunt. Also, does anyone know when bow season is for turkey or is it even a different season?

There is no separate bow season - when it's open you may use a shotgun or a bow.

Where in Western Washington are you ... I'll send you a PM to get you in a general area ... or come to Cabelas on Saturday and find the NWTF table between 8am and 6pm with a clinic between 11am & 1 pm, youth calling contest at 2pm & adults at 3pm.

like said, same season. north east corner seems to be a good place spokane area if you are willing to travel a bit.

Make friends with someone in Colleville or something, we have seagulls in our yards and parking areas here in the wet side, they have turkeys.

oh for he**'s sake Lifted, how do you expect people to answer this question? I'll tell you where to go....out to your truck and start scouting for birds. Once you find some, if they're on private land, see if you can get permission to hunt, if on public...go huntin! Criminy sakes, that's why they call it huntin. Scouting is as much a part of hunting as that last 20 yards you walk before setting up. Geez oh peez oh, get a clue!

It is not that the folks here are not friendly- You have to remember that we are on a Washington state website with 4500 members plus those that visit the site. If we gave out exact locations of our hunting areas we would see a lot more people and less birds. Part of hunting is getting out and scouting. If you stick around you will see that the folks on here really do wish you the best on any hunt and will leak tips to you every now and again to help you. If you want help with how to set up, call, sight in your gun etc. You will find lots of answers. To come on and say where can I shoot a critter cause I got a licence and a gun- you will not find much help other than a very broad area or get ridiculed. Best of luck and post some pics of your gobbler.

I guess it was hard to "hear" my sarcasm  I agree, thats kinda why all I said was I was hunting the Mountian.  Alot of area on MT Adams and most of it isnt even leagal for a white guy to hunt.

Where to Find in Washington
The distribution of Wild Turkeys throughout Washington is spotty due to introductions. The Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife can provide more detailed information about release sites. The Rio Grande subspecies can be found in Asotin, Columbia, Garfield, Kittitas, Lincoln, Okanogan, Walla Walla, and Whitman Counties. The eastern subspecies has been released west of the Cascades in Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Thurston, and Wahkiakum Counties. The Merriam's subspecies can be found in Ferry, Klickitat, Pend Oreille, Skamania, and Stevens Counties, and is well established and numerous in the northeast corner of the state (Ferry, Pend Oreille, and Stevens Counties).

I have been bowhunting 22 years and hopefully will get my first Eastern turkey with a recurve this spring.....

There are NO turkey's in Klickitat County, I repeat, there are no turkey's in Klickitat County
