I have used Peter's for my bear and other deer mounts. He has some of the best work i have seen. Its a little pricey and you will wait a little longer, but it is worth it. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I would recommend Peter's to anybody that wants the best. I am not wanting to sound like the guy advertising for him, but, they do good work. Go check out Peter's show room, they have lots of pics and more mounts you can shake a stick at. :twocents:

Bearhunter,

You need to go over to his shop and check out his work in person.  Call ahead and ask them if they have any cougars for you to look at first before you make the drive.  Make a couple trips and go look at several different cats.

The last time I was over at Peters shop he had one but it is more than likely not there now.  IMO it was in the top 10% of the cats I have seen from other taxidermists.

I have seen Phil Saucy's work and that is who I am going to recommend.  His cats are some of the best I have seen.  I am not however talking bad about Peters and I still think you should go check out his work if you are looking for someone with in the state.

I have used Peter's taxadermy in th epast and know of guys that will only use them for all there work. You can also stop in to Great Northwest Fish and Archery out at the Skuckum Archers and take a look at all the mounts Doug has on wall. All his mounts are done over there also, and yes , you will pay and wait a long time for it to be done. They are top noch

I have also used Rogers in Lakewod and seen a few cats he has done and would not hesitate to take to him either.

As said before, cats are the hardest animal to mount.  Phil Soucy is hands down the best there is in my opinion.  I have looked at lots and lots of his work.....a few in person.  Amazing.  Very pricey, and I believe it starts at around 4k for a lifesize cougar.  If you want to look at that cat for the rest of your life and be amazed at it's perfection, call him.
