WEST SIDE PUBLIC BEAR HUNTS?

Besides were I live is there any hot spots for 300+lb bears on the westside? I want to get out and do some hiking...and photo shoots.....

Kapwosin has a few large ones. Not many overall, but some real whoppers for sure.

Mt. st. helens and mt. adams offer some good bears. 300# is a tough trophy but there around.

No Big bears on Mt Adams. :rolleyes:  Seriusly, I know where thereare a couple biguns but you got to hike in about 8 miles.  Horses are always nice.

yes the coast is loaded with them but most down here are in garbage cans and back yards. looking for upper coastal inland areas to pack in mainly photo op's.. i dont get to take alot of leave being military so when i get it i gotta make her count...

I'm embarrassed to admit I don't recall ever seeing a bear in the wild in Washington state. I've seen a lot of other cool stuff. spent a LOT of time around elk and deer and all kinds of other animals, but no bears that I can recall.

I don't know where you are but Green Mountain out in Kitsap County i guess has lots of bears. I have been told there is one that goes 400+ lbs near the Gold Creek Trailhead.
The only person who has failed is the one who never tried.
