Good Gunsmith
« on: March 02, 2010, 04:36:33 PM »
I'm looking for a gunsmith from Yakima to the Tri-Cities that can AI my rifle. I can rent the reamer if they don't have the correct one. Can someone recommend a smith that has worked on your guns. Thanks Mark.

Stadler arms on fruitvale has a guy that does his work, but he wont tell you who he is for some reason. If you find a good one let me know for sure Because I am wanting to build a 7mm-08. It has been tough since don manning, and jake retired.

Thanks Matt, I'll call Randy. I was in Hammers today and they gave me a name and number of a guy they recommend, but he didn't return my call.

Have a friend that sent one off to have it done cause he didn't trust anybody. He said they have to set the barrel back and use and AI gauge to prevent problems.

Ya that's what I'm afraid of. I would like to keep my money here in the valley, but I want the job done right. I am hoping a member has had good luck with a local smith doing the same kind of work. Sako where did your friend send his and was he happy?

No clue where he sent it. Somebody told him about it. He has not had any problems. Just wanted to let you know of possible pitfalls if shortcuts are taken.
