Now I am addicted.
« on: March 04, 2010, 06:15:15 PM »
Well I got the itch to go look for more sheds since my first experience was so good. Went out for a couple of hours and saw 8 bulls walking off in the distance, decided to follow and watch them in all their glory. Once i got a little closer i noticed that one of the bulls was packing half his game and walking kind of funny. So i kept on truckin towards the group and found this guy with a bloody base, I found the shed from the lopsided bull!!!!!!!!!!

I have a couple of buds from the westside coming over so you might see us in the woods. we will most likely be in the LT area.

if you go to the manashtash road you can walk in, its a hike to get to some good shed hunting area but sometimes worth it. I know you are thinking about the jot watt entrance, but the LT has other areas that are open.

I'm pretty sure there is no public entry allowed between Manastash Rd. and the Taneum.  I talked to a buddy who grew up here and he's pretty sure too.  Plus, if your hiking towards where the elk are, like Robinson, there is definitely no public entry. All the signs up the Taneum show the closed area is between Manastash Rd. and the Taneum.  It says closed to all public entry.

You defiantly want to be careful. The LT is closed from Manastash Rd all the way to taneum canyon rd. However if you are going south from Manastash then you are ok. I will see if I can find a map online for you. I would hate to see someone get in trouble for something like this.
