Friends 08 Idaho Buck
« on: March 04, 2010, 09:41:32 PM »
My friend shot this buck in North Idaho in 2008. It's a 6x7 that grossed 194 and some change. It' final score was something like 179.

Good to see the wolves haven't eaten all the deer.

He shot that buck just in time, i believe the winter kill that year according to a newspaper in Sand Point said it was around 70%. Which i know sounds way too high, but if you call fish and game they might verify this info. Very beautiful buck :o

Super buck!  I believe I ran in to that guy a few years back in that area.  Seemed to me to have put in his time, and had found a few thumper sheds also.

How northern?  I am in Spirit Lake and there has basically been no snow on the ground all year...  Looking into the mountains there is not much either besides on the tops.  I think the snow level is around the 3000 mark maybe a bit higher...

I'm heading to the Priest River area. I hunted it about ten years ago. We had a lot of fun and I ate tag soup. I was just waiting for the big one and it didn't happen. I'm glad the snow has been mild. It will be fun regardless! :)
