What if I put in for Kapowsin?
« on: March 10, 2010, 01:43:42 PM »
Got a quick question for those of you that have drawn Kapowsin in the past.

I did NOT buy there $350 dollar yearly pass this year.  I have heard rumor that I don't need to buy the $350 dollar yearly pass to hunt Kapowsin for Spring Bear if I draw.  I guess for those that put in for Kapowsin and draw that didn't buy the yearly pass Kapowsin offers a temporary pass to cover the spring bear season.

Also does F&G or some one send you maps of the hunt area?  I have never drawn a spring bear permit.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I would call the 800 number for Hancock Forest Management. They could tell you better than anybody.

If you did not get the $350 pass Hancock offers a temp pass for $100 that is only valid for the hunt. Also, this $100 is per person. WDFW will be sending out maps and info to those who are drawn. If you are drawn the names are then given to Hancock and I believe you will have to go to their office in Orting and get the temp permit

Michelle it is not a rumor, if I tell you something it is LAW.

but just in case they at hancock do not recognize my authority, the number i have for their office is 1-800-782-1493.

Once again it is not a rumor or a fib if I inform you, it is the law, for I am man!!!!!!    :chuckle: :chuckle:
