You must have had Robert's call disintegrate on you after a few weeks use.  May be a good question for Len or Dave?  Wasn't your friend Kevin keeping a list of Wa call makers?

you might get a hold of "callmaker" on here...
I know he makes wingbone yelpers and box calls, not sure if he makes diaphrams.

Cool Jack, I'll talk to you about it at the banquet, I guess Len is going to have me do some calling at it.

TD, ya they went belly up, and the ones I got a Dav's banquet a couple years ago, while not WA. made calls, they're starting to go too. I like the Zinks ones I got, but they aren't quite the sound I'm looking for, the top reed is always too thick and hard to get the type of sound I want.

If I have no luck I may look to buying a jig and trying to make my own.

Glen Berry makes calls or at least he used to in Medical Lake Wa. There called Berry's Best calls, and he had turkey, and elk calls. I'll see if I can find out if he's still making them. Donny

http://www.boiseweekly.com/boise/big-game-hunter-and-filmmaker-busted-out-of-bounds/Content?oid=925305

Owner of Big Bull Productions, Glen Berry, was sentenced the maximum penalties after pleading guilty to four charges related to his illegal take of a bull elk on September 19, 2005.

A game call manufacturer, big game filmmaker and successful archer, Berry was hunting with a Montana tag when he shot a bull about a half-mile inside Idaho. Filming for Berry's production company caught the kill on video, which investigators were never able to recover. However, Idaho Fish and Game officers were able to confirm that Berry had knowledge of his exact location prior to taking the elk due to several actions taken after the kill. Berry's precise GPS record of his kill site helped investigators determine that Berry and his crew knew they were in Idaho, as did Berry's prompt purchase of an Idaho elk tag after the kill occurred. Idaho Fish and Game Senior Conservation Officer Lew Huddleston investigating the poaching incident also reported that because the hunting party was on the Idaho side of the Continental Divide, there should have been little question as to which state the party was hunting in when Berry took the bull.

Berry pleaded guilty to possession of an unlawfully taken big game animal, hunting without an Idaho elk permit, failing to validate his elk tag and violating the U.S. Forest Service Travel Plan. Berry was sentenced to pay more than $10,000 in fines, court costs and civil penalties and to serve 180 days in jail (of which all but 30 were suspended). Berry's license will be revoked for three years and will be banned from hunting in the 20 other member states of the Wildlife Violator Compact for three years.

*Editor's Note: Boise Weekly was provided with incorrect information at the time of publication. According to court documents, Berry was sentenced to pay more than $1,000 in fines. (July 2008)

IDAHO FISH AND GAME
UPPER SNAKE REGION NEWS RELEASE
Idaho Falls, ID

Date: December 2, 2005
Contact: Gregg Losinski
(208) 525-7290

filmed on location in idaho!

IDAHO FALLS - Filming the shooting of a big 6 x 6 bull elk in Idaho is something that should have been the perfect film subject for Glen Berry, owner of Big Bull Productions, a company that specializes in the producing videos of big game hunts all around the globe. The problem was that Berry was hunting the bull with a Montana tag! While the video that witnesses reported seeing being shot was never recovered, their precise GPS (Global Positioning System) marking of the kill site and nearly instantaneous reporting of the incident via cell phone to IDFG Senior Conservation Officer Lew Huddleston, helped earn Berry a film credit for poaching.

On September 19, 2005, witnesses observed Berry kill the big 6 x 6 bull elk approximately ½ a mile inside Idaho. The site was astride the Idaho side of the Continental Divide, so little doubt could have existed as to what state the party was hunting. Additional confirmation regarding Berry's knowledge of the exact location of the kill site was confirmed by the fact that he purchased an Idaho elk tag after the bull had been shot!

The witnesses observed the kill site and recorded its location with a GPS and immediately reported the information to Officer Huddleston. This information and the ensuing investigation resulted in a 27 hour-long work day for Huddleston, something that is not all that uncommon for an Idaho Conservation Officer during the fall hunting season!

Whereas some film stars reap millions for their productions, Berry ended up costing him! He pled guilty to the four charges; Possession of an unlawfully taken big game animal, Hunting without an Idaho elk permit, Failure to validate his elk tag, and Violating the U.S. Forest Service Travel Plan. The penalties were the maximum for the possession, $1,000 plus court costs, $750 civil penalty, 180 days in jail and 3 years license revocation. The other three violations resulted in $9,000 in fines, plus court costs! Because Idaho is a member of the Wildlife Violator Compact, Berry will also not be able to hunt as part of his filming during the next three years in any of the 20 other member states!

Because his son Chad Berry was part of this big game shooting gone bad, he is scheduled for trial on possession of unlawfully taken animal in Clark County in January.

Berry Bashing??  Since when does providing a news article about a convicted poacher constitute bashing?  :)
